Sports

Sports in are an integral part of the RFS curriculum. It helps to shape a student’s personality and contributes to their holistic development. Through sports, students learn to live a healthy lifestyle, to gain confidence, to work as a team, to be disciplined and to preserve.

Swimming 101 - Beginner

In our Swimming 101 – Beginner level classes (Beginner 1 – 4) are for swimmers ages 3+ and are designed for students with no swim experience to those working towards independent swimming. Swimmers start with learning the basic safety skills (blowing bubbles through the mouth and nose, front and back float, as well as the beginning arm and kicking movements for freestyle) and progress to independent freestyle, develop backstroke technique, and continue to build on water safety skills. Our small group classes are scheduled weekly on a perpetual basis (same day and time each week). Up to 4 students per class. Students are grouped by skill level and similar age ranges.

Swimming 201 - Intermediate

In our Swimming 201 – Intermediate class levels (Intermediate 1-3), swimmers continue building on their safety skills while developing their freestyle side breathing and backstroke technique (Intermediate 1). Swimmer progress to learning breaststroke and ultimately accomplishing the butterfly stroke (Intermediate 3)

Swimming 301 - Advanced

In our Swimming 301 – Advanced level classes (Advanced 1-2) swimmers focus on improving technique and gaining endurance and develop competition skills such as advanced safety skills, turns, and streamlining. Our small group classes are scheduled weekly on a perpetual basis (same day and time each week). Up to 4 students per class. Students are grouped by skill level and similar age ranges.

Tennis

Developed in collaboration with Coral Oaks Tennis Club and based on ITF Education Program, this course consists of group and one-on-one classes the fundamental skills of tennis. Focus includes: basic strokes; strategy; rules; scoring; etiquette; practice drills; singles and doubles play. The more experienced students will receive instruction on use of spin; court positioning; footwork; and advanced strategies.

Soccer

Leveraging, Pinecrest Premier Soccer Club’s competitive and recreational programs, students not only grow and learn the beautiful game of soccer, but also develop life long skills that will help them to succeed both on and off the field.
